● MENSCHenLICHter ...

... combines "Menschen", which means "humans" in German, and "Lichter", the German word for "lights". It addresses the inhuman coldness of public lighting, its artificial colors like orange and green, and its direct illumination. They generally leave you with the feeling of being lost and alone, and strangely unprotected, naked, exposed. The more light there is in a park, the more you can see how alone you really are.

But now imagine the park lighting to be "menschlich", human. They make you feel warm and welcome, and in good company. The "MENSCHenLICHTer" are the actual attraction. They are coming towards you, welcoming you. They comfort you even when you go there by yourself, making you feel as if you were sitting amongst close friends.

Here are three different forms of "MENSCHenLICHTer" grouped together. They symbolize basic expressions of emotions and needs, like "embrace", "guide", "guard" and "joy".

The ambience of the lights change, according to weather, atmosphere, or desired mood. Dynamics, intensity and colors interact, like a concert to be watched. The LED lights of the  "MENSCHenLICHTer" change individually, or within the whole group of lights in all the colors of the rainbow.
